You woke up with itchy spots. Is it bed bugs? Maybe. Maybe not.

Why Bites Are Not Proof

Bites, bite-like marks, and rashes alone are not a reliable sign of bed bugs. Lots of things can cause them. People also react in different ways. Some people barely notice a bite. Others get a big itchy welt.

Look for Proof Instead

  • Shed skins near the bed.

  • Small round black or brown spots on seams or sheets.

  • A live bug in a seam, zipper, or fold.

What to Do Next

  1. Check your bed using our 10-minute guide.

  2. Take clear photos of anything you find.

  3. Call us. We can look and tell you what is going on.
