Holiday trips are coming. A two-minute check can save you a big headache.

Check the Room First

  1. Keep your bags off the bed and the floor. Use the bathroom or a luggage rack while you look.

  2. Pull back the bedding.

  3. Check the mattress seams, the headboard, and the bed frame.

  4. Start near the bed and work your way outward.

  5. Look for shed skins, small black or brown spots, and live bugs.

If You Find Something

Tell the front desk and ask for a different room, away from that one. Do not spray anything in the room yourself. Let the hotel handle it.

When You Get Home

Keep your luggage off your bed and out of the bedroom at first. Look through your bags before you unpack. Questions? Wichita: (316) 775-7867. Overland Park: (913) 222-2847.
